Smyrna Arts Council Lecture: “Classical Figure Drawing & Painting”

Classically trained artist Tate Anthony will discuss his methods.

Speaker Bio: Tate Anthony is a 25-year-old artist from Smyrna, Georgia. He began studying art at the age of 16 at Atelier South in downtown Atlanta. After graduating high school in 2018, he attended the Princeton Academy of Art in Princeton, New Jersey. In late 2021, he moved to Florence, Italy, to study at Florence Classical Academy of Art (FCAA), where he earned his diploma in visual arts. He began a master’s program at FCAA, further refining his technical and creative skills before returning to Smyrna permanently. Tate specializes in figurative anatomy, but is skilled across a wide range of artistic genres, having been trained in the Russian academic method.
