"The results are in, and the message is clear: Americans view the arts as essential to their personal lives, their communities, and the nation’s future. Yet, despite its undeniable value, only half (51%) of Americans believe everyone in their community has equal access to the arts. This finding comes from Americans Speak Out About the Arts in 2023, a national public opinion survey conducted by Ipsos Public Affairs on behalf of Americans for the Arts (AFTA). The study, one of the most comprehensive of its kind, examines Americans’ perceptions and attitudes towards arts and culture."

"Arts and culture add value to our community. 86% of Americans believe “arts and culture improve my community’s quality of life and livability,” and 79% believe “arts and culture are important to my community’s businesses, economy, and local jobs.”

The City of Smyrna, GA Government and Smyrna Arts

The City of Smyrna, GA Government and Smyrna Arts Council are excited to present a rotating art exhibit, featuring local artists, on display at the Smyrna Community Center, 200 Village Green Circle, and at City Hall, 2800 King St.

The Community Center features work from six local artists: Nena Allen, Amber Enadeghe, Shelly Leitheiser, Tree Lyiness, Jeanne Marie Mirkovoc, and Lee Wynn. City Hall hosts a SPECIAL ENCORE EXHIBIT featuring work from local artist Saul Hernandez. The exhibits can be viewed anytime the facilities are open. For operating hours, please visit.
