Local Artist Exhibit at Smyrna City Hall

The Smyrna Arts Council and the City of Smyrna are excited to welcome nine local artists to our latest fine arts exhibit on at A. Max Bacon City Hall in Smyrna through October 2022. The exhibit features 17 pieces from 8 talented local artists:
  • Mary Belle Cordell – an award-winning nationally recognized porcelain tile artist, new to our community;
  • Veena Raj – a watercolor artist frequently featured in exhibits throughout Cobb County;
  • Justin Groom – an illustrator exhibiting a large-scale hand-drawn pen and ink piece;
  • Paula Winter – a former Cobb County teacher creating unique collage art;
  • Becca McCoy – a photographer specializing in nature and travel photography;
  • Nanette Perez – a fabric artist with a quilt on display;
  • Jason Walesh – a pop-culture designer and recycled materials collagist; and
  • Lyiness – a full-time multi-disciplinary artist and Creative Director of Mutiny Artwrx.

Curated by Smyrna Arts Council Vice President Leah Barnes, the Community Art Exhibit – in partnership with the City of Smyrna – provides an opportunity for local artists to display their work, and for residents to gain exposure to Art being created within the community.

The exhibit is open for viewing during City Hall’s normal business hours. Follow Smyrna Arts Council on Facebook and Instagram @smyrnaartscouncil for profiles on the featured artists, glimpses into the exhibit, and to learn about the other events and happenings sponsored by the Council.
