SMYRNA ARTS COUNCIL PROVIDES LEADERSHIP IN ADVOCATING,
INITIATING AND INTEGRATING ARTS IN OUR COMMUNITY.

Smyrna City Hall 9/11 Memorial Exhibit

Smyrna Arts Council is pleased to welcome photographer David Batley and his exhibit, “Towering Views: Remembering the World Trade Center 20 Years After 9/11,” to A. Max Bacon City Hall in Smyrna. We hope you will take time to stop by to see the exhibit while it is up through September 30.

David Batley’s passion for photography began while serving in Southeast Asia with the military in the late 1960’s. His first camera was a simple Kodak rangefinder loaned to him by his grandmother. Throughout the years, David has been passionate about his photography and has enjoyed the experiences of film—35mm and medium format, as well as digital. His images have spanned a wide variety of styles, from documentary to commercial work, portraits, landscapes, and just about anything else that inspires him. David also began teaching photography nearly 25 years ago, and continues to enjoy the challenge of sharing his passion and inspiring students to learn and have fun.
