Smyrna Arts Council is dedicated to contributing to the quality of life in our community by promoting, nurturing and supporting the arts in Smyrna. The Council offers a strong, independent voice for our vibrant cultural community by empowering, facilitating and advocating for the arts – whether in our public schools, through local galleries and performance venues, or on our streets.
Our mission is to cultivate and promote the arts for the enjoyment and enrichment of our diverse community. We define art as the visual arts, including painting; mixed media; photography; sculpture; and performing arts, including music, dance and theatre. We are committed to aligning our activities and efforts to our mission and to honoring the diversity that Smyrna enjoys.
Smyrna Arts Council is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, and all donations are tax deductible. Our tax ID number is 47-4908499.
Smyrna Arts Council was founded in 2015 as a volunteer grassroots organization and is a (501(c)(3)) nonprofit organization. This tax deductible status has enabled Smyrna Arts to attract local financial and in-kind support from constituents.
Since its creation, Smyrna Arts Council has participated in collaborations with the City of Smyrna, community businesses, schools and local artists. As we continue to refine our long range goals and achieve our mission, we will continue to seek opportunities to elevate the arts in the hearts and minds of our citizens.
